Re: LRO Images of Apollo Landing Sites
Sun, July 19, 2009 - 5:54 AMHummingbird,
In the future, please, include a short abstract from the article(s) you are posting, before the link.
Something like this:
LRO Sees Apollo Landing Sites 07.17.09 NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, has returned its first imagery of the Apollo moon landing sites. The pictures show the Apollo missions' lunar module descent stages sitting on the moon's surface, as long shadows from a low sun angle make the modules' locations evident.
The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera, or LROC, was able to image five of the six Apollo sites, with the remaining Apollo 12 site expected to be photographed in the coming weeks.

Re: LRO Images of Apollo Landing Sites
Mon, July 20, 2009 - 8:47 PMI just love it that we can see the landing sites.
A little something for the people who claim we never landed on the moon.
(me laughing at them) -

Re: LRO Images of Apollo Landing Sites
Tue, July 21, 2009 - 4:29 AMThe day I read this post and went to look at the pictures Discovery Channel had on a program about the moon landings. It wasn't a historical program but one that had people who feel and believe NASA faked the whole thing and was presenting evidence that they did. If NASA dod fake the moon landings they did a damn good job making the moon look like we were there. -

Wed, July 22, 2009 - 9:33 AMGreat shots.
Its impressive that even though LRO is orbiting the moon with a Hi-Res camera, the landing sites still come out so small.
